FAQ
How To Place An Order

We do our best to make our website easy to find what you want and order painlessly. To place an order online, simply add the desired items to your shopping cart, then click on the CART button in the upper right and proceed to checkout. NOTE: When purchasing Downloads, you still have to enter your shipping address (Yes, we know it's crazy, but there's no way around it.)
You can always place your order with us over the phone using your credit card. Or, if you prefer to pay by check, you can print your shopping cart and send your payment by mail. We also accept School Purchase Orders (see below).

Is my Windows computer a 32-bit or 64-bit?
To find out if your computer is running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, do the following:
1. Click the Start button
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click System and Maintenance
4. Click System
5. Under System, you can view the system type (32-bit or 64-bit).
What does (as tested by Children's Software Online) mean?
You will see the above note on System Requirements when the packaging doesn’t have that particular operating system(s) printed on it, but we have tested it and were able to successfully install and run the software either “as is” or by using the Program Compatibility Wizard that’s built into Windows.
Additional Support
Windows Vista compatibility wizard instructions
Windows 7 compatibility wizard instructions
If you are getting a 64-bit error message, here's a possible solution.
Download technical support: Please try rebooting as that solves most issues. If not, you can open a support ticket.
1. Go to http://support.selectsoft.com/
2. Click on Electronic Support Ticket
3. Create a user account or if you already have one, click Login. Then skip to step #5.
4. Click “Open or update a support case” link.
5. From the drop down menu, select “Create New Case” and click Go.
What's the difference between a Jewel Case, Sleeve and a Retail Box?

A jewel case is a plastic case that houses the actual CD-ROM. It usually contains an information booklet describing the software and its installation. Sleeves are "environmentally conscience" packaging and simply are the CD-ROM housed in a paper or vinyl sleeve for safer shipping. All documentation (help files) are contained on the actual CD. Retail Boxes contain the CD-ROM, frequently packaged in a sleeve or jewel case and sometimes a warranty card or booklet, but nothing else. In essence, the product is the same, only you pay more for the Retail Box packaging as it costs more to produce and ship. All of our products are BRAND NEW, not used.
Do you ship outside the US?
To find out if we ship to your country, simply add an item to the shopping cart and click on CHECKOUT. Next, click the "United States" (dropdown menu) to see if your country is listed. Shipping to Canada is a flat fee of $10, all other countries outside the USA is $18.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
